London is renowned for its thriving gay nightlife, scene and community. The many community organisations that exist work in conjunction with one another to provide London’s LGBT population with an excellent support network. Covering all ages, creeds, races, beliefs and abilities, London’s LGBT community groups are a superb source of information and are testament to the real sense of community that London offers.

Whilst we all know that HIV/AIDS is something that can affect everyone, gay men continue to be located in the group at greatest risk of acquiring HIV in the UK. If you believe that you may have been at risk of catching HIV, if you’ve been newly diagnosed or have been living with HIV for some time, London has a large network of support groups to help and inform you. Websites such as the Terrence Higgins Trust and Aidsmap contain plentiful information on the epidemic including where to go for testing, life with HIV and updates on treatment and care in the UK.
In regards to faith and beliefs, London’s LGBT community groups cater for all. The Lesbian & Gay Christian Movement are a UK-based charity that prays for an inclusive church. Pushing for equality, the movement looks for the LGBT community to be fully incorporated and accepted into the Christian faith.
