With the arrival of Inamo to London's trendy Soho neighbourhood, restaurant dining has been given a futuristic makeover and taken to a whole new level. Dining in London has just become digital!

Nestled nicely between Leicester Square and Oxford Circus tube stations, Inamo is a state of the art restaurant that uses advanced technology to create the most modern of dining experiences. The Inamo idea centres on an interactive ordering system. Overhead cameras project an illustrated food and drink menu onto the table's surface. A touch sensitive panel allows you to easily navigate the interactive menu and with a few clicks, your meal is ordered and sent through to the kitchen.

Inamo's concept does away with the need of waiters and waitresses. In fact, the only time staff are seen is when they approach your table(appearing out of the shadowy corners) to either bring or clear your order.

Other groovy functionalities that are incorporated into the system are the ability to order a taxi from the comfort of your very own table, play games, change the overall theme and design of your table and (my personal favourite), watch a live feed of what is happening in the kitchen. Very cool.

When it comes to the food, prices are quite reasonable with an average meal costing around £40 (including drinks). The menu contains over 30 various oriental dishes including marinated quail, pomegranate duck and seared lamb neck. The presentation of the food is good and adds to the overall professionalism of the restaurant. Compliments must be paid to Inamo's head chef, Anthony Sousa Tam, for his inventive and rather delicious dishes. His vision has infused all Asian influences from Japan and China to Thailand and beyond.

When stepping into Inamo, you will feel as if you have been transported forward in time. It is very futuristic and modern with simplicity a key theme throughout. The short waiting time for food (15 minutes) makes it a great place to grab a bite to eat with friends, a lover or a cheeky date.
