Impossible to resist and impossible to forget. Burlesque has quite definitely arrived in Victoria. An all-singing, all-dancing, all-teasing trio have taken the Above the Stag theatre by storm. Flirty, fun and undeniable sexy the saintly sinners tease to perfection.
Leon Ancliffe and Jan Michael Hicks ooze charisma having truly mastered the art of the tease whilst the sizzling hot Chloe Elizabeth Hunter brings some much needed glamour to proceedings. The small theatre lit by antique crystal chandeliers provides an intimate setting in which to become seduced by the art of the tease. The act is cute and cheeky, yet at times slightly clumsy, however this merely adds to the charm of the whole event. Sat at his piano, master of ceremonies, Martyn Niele at times threatens to steal the show with his humorous sing-alongs and risque banter as he guides his audience through the show in style.

Each skit is short and sweet with just enough titillation to have the audience quite literally screaming for more and more is exactly what they are given, more fun, more cheek and more red hot seduction. From cabin crew to black and white movies this show most definitely has it all, enchantingly flirtatious and captivatingly charming. In such an intimate setting audience interaction is crucial and interaction is exactly what we get, with audience members at one point being armed with water pistols - you have to see it to believe it and I would suggest that you do just that!
The saintly sinners are exactly that, cute yet sexy, pretty yet provocative and performers until the end. Whilst chorography occasionally lacked precision, even appearing at times somewhat amateurish, the charm and personality of the performers was enough to win over even the most sceptical of audiences.
A must see show, these sinners are without a doubt saintly, delight in their heavenly feast.
